Located in the heart of the city of Larnaca, lying on the south-east coast of Cyprus, 'Apothiki 79' is a multi-purpose venue, established in 2014. 'Apothiki' in Greek means 'Warehouse', reflecting perfectly the long history of the building, which consists of a number of renovated timber warehouses from 1936, now transformed in an avant garde venue, supporting new ideas and the arts.

Larnaca is one of the smaller cities in Cyprus, located approximately 7km from the main International Airport "Glafkos Clerides" and 42km from the capital, Nicosia.
It is a port city and the first settlement is believed to date back to 6 Milleniums, with the area being continuously inhabited since. Larnaca is the home town of ancient philosopher Zeno of Citium (c. 334 – c. 262 BC).

Accommodation & Transport
Larnaca is a well-known tourist destination and as a result, there is a plethora of hotels available. Please note that the conference is taking place during the tourist season and we would like to kindly advise you to book your accommodation early, to avoid any inconvenience. You may choose to stay at a seaside hotel or a smaller hotel in the old city centre. Any accommodation near the Finikoudes area and St. Lazarous Church is in a walking distance to the venue.
Please have in mind that shall you need transport from your accommodation to the venue and vice versa, any costs will be undertaken by you. In general, public transport is not a reliable option in Cyprus. The administration of the accommodation you are residing at will be in a position to arrange for a taxi, if necessary.
Car rental is also available at the airport, but please note that parking availability is limited in the area around the venue and costs vary.
There is an abundance of restaurants offering local and international cuisine, as well as bars and coffee places, in a walking distance from the venue, which you may attend in your free time.
